Clinton received 48.6% of the vote and Trump
received 48.5%
of the vote. While these results are close, the actual election
total was quite different.

According to the CNN Poll on TDM Research, for North Carolina,  50.54% was
reported for Trump
and 46.7% was reported for Clinton.
According to this Research, Donald Trump won by an amount well outside the Margin
of Error. This would indicate a very low probability of doing so.
